Listen, 2020 has been the weirdest year yet, right? Who anticipated this year being so insane? It's literally like the zombie apocalypse.
I remember on January 1 all of us sharing our word of the year. Mine's been "blessing." Can you believe it? It has been, actually, though. In SO many amazing ways. I'll talk about that in other posts.
Listen, I get the fact that we're all frozen. This has been a TRYING year, and for many of you, that's a total understatement. I don't need to go into all the things.
I just got word that Brandy Vaughan, founder of LearntheRisk.org, died mysteriously yesterday. You may have already seen the posts. It's chilling seeing her speak beforehand about it. Say what you want, and I know what I think about it. I'll put the go fund me link for her in the comments.
Friends, the time is now. We live now. We speak now. We move freely now. We hug now. We work out now. Lol! I knew I'd get it back around somehow. You either let someone run your life, or you take it back. In 2012, I almost died in front of my family and many of my friends. In 2014, I almost died in front of my kids with my husband halfway around the world. We didn't get promised today. We don't have a guarantee about tomorrow. For someone who's almost died several times, I still live in so MUCH fear. I live my life most of the time in a very tiny box. Well, "they" are trying to take away that box. And we live in so much fear.
What would it take for you to live without fear? What would it take for you to just do the thing? What would it take for you to rise up and realize you weren't promised today, so you should just go do it, no matter what someone else thinks or threatens to do?
Yes, I hate that people die like this. But our response too many times is to cower back to try to protect ourselves. Our response too many times is fear layered on fear. Our box we can move in gets smaller. Our lights get snuffed out, and as in the case of Brandy Vaughan, FAR too early, and with FAR too much work still to do.
Stand up. Do the thing. Defend yourself. Wash your face. Work out. Stretch out your body and your voice to fit the AMAZING message God gave you. He didn't even promise us today, but it is here. What are you going to do with it?
